Test results

  • You can expect to receive your results within two weeks of being tested.
  • We can notify you by texting, calling, emailing or by sending you a letter - you choose the way we inform you.
  • You will be notified whether your results are negative or positive - everyone gets their results.
  • No test is 100% accurate so very occasionally the test may give a false result.
  • All contact will be totally confidential.
  • If your results are positive our Nurse Advisor will contact you to discuss where you can get treatment.
  • All treatment is free and usually involves a short course of antibiotics.
